Samsung NC10 - Small Ideas From Samsung
Samsung's low-key entry into the netbook fray brings us the 10.2-inch Samsung NC10 netbook. With so much competition, especially for the larger ten-inch mini-notebooks like the Eee PC 1000 and MSI Wind, what with their Samsung existing mobile phone and laptop portfolio bring to the table?
The biggest difference is the memory, a 160GB cracking of whom do not have Internet storage. That is twice as heavy storage of the MSI Wind, and 4 times theAmount on the baseline Eee PC 1000 models. It is of course the Eee PC 1000H, but you'll pay fifty pounds more than the Samsung - RRP £ 299th
Storage aside, it has functions similar to other netbooks. 10.2-inch screen anti-glare screen with 1024×600 resolution, 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, integrated 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 6-cell lithium battery promising up to 6 hours of battery life and a 93% full - size keyboard. And unlike the Eee PC rivals and his imitators, it does not comewith a Linux option, just Windows XP.
The keyboard and the interface is interesting. Samsung has obviously seen in the brain, most people are not so super-thin fingers, and so have a keyboard that has produced very useful. You have the key in proportion to its functionality from the letter keys are nearly full size. The compromise is in the arrow, the first line (F1, F10, etc.) and the touchpad - the touchpad is in fact very low. In general, the interface seems to betailored for the writer.
The Samsung NC10 broadly looks a lot more seriously than its rival Eee PC 1000 and MSI Wind. The lint yield curves and straight edges and the huge Samsung logo. Even if not brutally ugly, the top is quite clever, I would not say the NC10 will be a particularly attractive laptop - looks like the best, the rival LG X110. There is a certain bit of goods, such as the Sony VAIO Type "Power button is located on the side. Color choices are pretty banal - white, black and blue,from highest to lowest.
So far, the Samsung NC10, aesthetics aside, seems the best 10-inch mini laptop without the keyboard and battery problems from other netbooks like the MSI Wind.
